‘A Day at the Races’ Giddy-up Fairview Village

On the 7th of November, the Melbourne cup has been run and was enjoyed by the residents at Fairview. Our celebration started with a delicious finger food lunch at our Morton Lounge, decorated better than any marquee that Flemington races has ever seen.

Our residents enjoyed the community/staff horse races which was a source of great delight. Fairview Village also had a visitor all the way from the silent film era, Mr. Charlie Chaplin, he entertained and relived some wonderful memories for the residents. Many sweeps were played and of course awards were given for the best fashions on the field. There were amazing fascinators worn by the ladies in the crowd. Hats off to our winner Margret Clancy, who won the Fairview Fashions best dressed on the field. Congratulations too many and to all who made the day wonderful and enjoyable.
